Is Paint Toxic?

July 24th, 2008

The short answer is: no.
Of course nothing is quite that simple.
Architectural coatings contain very small amounts of chemical compounds that would be dangerous if consumed in large quantities.  Environmental and health officials continually evaluate the comparative risk of every chemical found in products such as paint, and no product now sold in the U.S. contains enough toxic material to be considered dangerous if used as recommended.

It’s worth remembering that a similar process takes place in food. Agricultural chemicals which might be poisonous if we consumed them directly actually make food safer.  Not all foods are equally safe for all of us.  Eating peanuts or shellfish can make some people very sick, yet no one seriously talks of banning shrimp or peanut butter. Painting and Decorating, refined

Hiring a PDCA Accredited Contractor Is More Than Just Getting A Great Contractor For The Job.

Time. Do we have to tell you how there’s never enough? Do we need to remind you about how you hit the ground running the minute you wake up and don’t stop until late at night? A PDCA Accredited Contractor understands time. Understands that, when you hire a contractor, you’d like them to show up when they promise. Understands that, when someone says a job will take two days, it takes two days. A PDCA Accredited Contractor understands that when you hire them, their working on your clock, not theirs. Maybe someone else is cheaper… but is the job really that inexpensive when the contractor arrives two hours late, finishes half the job… and then vanish until they feel like coming back to finish? Hire a PDCA Accredited Contractor… there’s not enough time in the world for anything less.

ESP Painting, Inc launches redesigned website

April 27th, 2008

Hillsboro, OR - ESP Painting, Inc, owned by Jeff Sommers and based out of Hillsboro, Oregon has teamed with d-allison.com to redesign and launch it’s new website, set to debut this weekend (April 25th). The company has had a website for several years, hosted by an out of town company, but decided to go local and obtain d-allison’s services.

The site is clean with great graphics sprinkled throughout to compliment the work that the company performs. They are contemporary, modern , stylish, while also providing traditional home and commercial services. The work is beautifully portrayed in the portfolio section of the new website.

The decision to go with d-allison.com was based on the prior work done by Dionne, web designer at d-allison.com, and the ability to work with someone nearby who understood not only the local mood and economy, but was also within close proximity to provide the proper support and updates that a simple phone call can’t provide.
